Ellen Todd is the president of Curry Real Estate Services. As president, Todd is responsible for strategic planning, business development and oversight of her management team in the day-to-day execution of work. With more than 30 years’ experience with the company and in the real estate industry, Todd has guided Curry to its position as one of the top 10 commercial real estate businesses in the area.
Todd is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Missouri Association of REALTORS®, the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®, Urban Land Institute, Institute of Real Estate Management, Certified Commercial Investment Member and the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a Missouri Real Estate Commission Designated Company broker.
Active in the community, Todd has served as chair, co-chair or president of a wide variety of community organizations, initiatives or events including the American Red Cross Red Ball, Clay County Economic Development Council, Liberty Hospital Foundation, the Liberty 2010 Sales Tax Campaign, and the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Todd has been a recipient of the Anne Robb Townsend Award for Business, of the Clay/Platte Counties Trail System Trail Blazer Award and is a member of the 2009 class of Kansas City Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business. She and her husband, Chris, live in Liberty, MO.
Ray Brock joined Curry Real Estate Services in 1954 and currently serves as chairman emeritus. Brock is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Institute of Real Estate Management and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Brock has received numerous awards for his work in the community including the Truex Lifetime Service Award by William Jewell College Alumni Association, the Out standing Missourian Award by the Missouri House of Representatives, the Jay Dillingham Lifetime Achievement Award by the Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., the Northlander of the Year Award by Northland Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Advocate of the Year Award by the Clay County Economic Development Council.
Brock works extensively with many charities including the Liberty Hospital Foundation, Salvation Army, Northland Community Foundation, the Kansas City Zoo Tax Commission representing Clay County and Clay County Parks and Recreation Board. He is also a trustee of Watkins Mill Association and the Board of College Hill.
Mike Sweeney joined Curry Real Estate Services in 2001 and currently serves as senior vice president in the commercial real estate division. In this position, Sweeney manages the sales, leasing, asset/property management for office, retail, mixed use, and multi-family, single-family and investor-owned properties.
Sweeney has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Curry, he worked for the J.C. Nichols Company where he was responsible for its two largest retail properties, the Country Club Plaza (1.2 million square feet) and Prairie Village Shopping Center (400,000 square feet).
Sweeney is a licensed realtor in both Kansas and Missouri and received his certified property management (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1984. In 2013 he was recognized by the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® for his top performance in retail commercial real estate.
Sweeney earned aBachelor of Arts at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo.
He is a Kansas City Royal Lancer and enjoys playing softball and racquetball. He and his wife, Sue, have two children.
Brynn McCan joined Curry Real Estate Services in 2007 and currently serves as vice president, executive administrator and human resources director. McCan is responsible for the overall management of human resources and information technology for the company and acts as project manager for the president.
McCan earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1996 from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas, and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix in 2007.
McCan and her husband, Chad, have three children and live in Kansas city, MO.
